The Archdiocese of Miami understands the importance of providing quality-of-life benefits and considers them to be a significant part of employee compensation. Ecclesiastical Notary - Metropolitan Tribunal
The Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Miami has an immediate opening for an Ecclesiastical Notary.
The individual will be responsible for supporting the office of the Metropolitan Tribunal activities for the Archdiocese of Miami and its entities by providing administrative support to the Judicial Vicar, Judges, and Defender of the Bond. The Ecclesiastical Notary performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a notary of the Metropolitan Tribunal.
- Provide exemplary customer service to employees and others who contact the Metropolitan Tribunal Office by phone or in person, directing them to the appropriate parties, answering basic questions on Metropolitan Tribunal policies and procedures, or taking messages about their concerns for escalation to the Case Director, or the Judicial Vicar and/or Judges.
- Maintain order in visitor waiting / reception area.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the process of handling a case from beginning to end.
- Handle processing of 1st Instances Sentences such as proofreading, typing and publishing the Sentences from the different Judges, notifying the parties and the Advocate/s, and typing the letter notifying the Second Instance Diocese of Pittsburgh of the case.
- Prepare all decrees needed for the case from start to finish.
- Close out Tribunal cases. Perform necessary data entry and filing of records.
- Assist in processing Dispensations, Lack of Canonical Forms, Searches, Litterae /Testimonials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: High School diploma or GED and one year administrative experience in a customer-service environment.
- Preferred:Some college, or related experience in a regulated environment.

Receptionist (Part-time) - St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church
St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church has an opening for a Receptionist (Part-time) who will be responsible for providing first-point-of-contact customer service for general inquiries and visitors to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church.
Primary duties are answering and greeting callers, assessing their needs, and directing them to the appropriate parties. The Receptionist receives and directs both walk-in and scheduled visitors. Ministry Coordinator - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church has an immediate opening for a Ministry Coordinator. The individual will coordinate the ministries of the parish with direct responsibility for RCIA, RCIC and adult faith formation. - Advocate for adult faith formation in the parish through communication strategies and other means.
- Promote multiple delivery systems for adult faith formation and find ways to infuse faith formation into all aspects of parish life.
- Provide catechetical programming in other languages as needed
- Supervise catechist for RCIA, RCIC and adults and assist them to be prepared for their ministry, especially by consulting with the DRE on their certification and resourcing them for ongoing growth.
- Provide direction to the Adult Faith Formation team, serving as a resource person to them and a liaison between them and the parish staff, pastoral council and other committees.
- Track parish and participation in programs and work with Pastor to develop mechanism for receiving feedback on program effectiveness.
- Participate in the on-going formation opportunities, continuing education and professional development for ministry coordinators and catechist.
- Demonstrate characteristics and qualities desired of a Roman Catholic lay leader, including excellent character, integrity and support of the teachings and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Miami. Demonstrate fidelity and support of Church leadership.
- Work with RCIC parents to ensure the support and involvement of the family in the parish catechetical program.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and control transactions, processes and database related to State scholarship funding such as the McKay Scholarship , Step-Up for Students, VPK and DCF scholarship providers of students

Maintenance Supervisor - St. Theresa School

Qualifications:

St. Louis Covenant Church and School in South Dade County has an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. This position is responsible for the execution of tasks, either directly or through volunteers or service providers, that support the operations, maintenance, repair and improvement of the grounds, facilities, and related equipment of all properties of church. Responsibilities include custodial duties as well as basic building, repair, and installation tasks in carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical repairs, structural repairs, lighting, heating and ventilation, setup and breakdown for events.
The Maintenance Supervisor plans and directs building and grounds improvements that ensure that the facility's appearance positively reflects and enhances parish in the community. The Maintenance Supervisor performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- High-school diploma or G.E.D.; seven years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical or trade school coursework in building technology and/or HVAC a plus
- Basic knowledge and skills in some of the building trades; Universal Certification a plus.
- Basic PC skills, including ability to navigate the Windows OS, enter data into system and perform e-mail functions in MS Outlook, required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, MSDS, Hazard Communication labels and safety warnings.
- Good English-language communication skills, Spanish-language and/or Haitian-Creole or French-language spoken communication skills a preferred.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings or other structures.

Responsibilities:

- Resolve accounting issues related to journal entries, bank reconciliations, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Assist entities with processing of payroll and payments.
- Organize and perform accounting trainings.
- Process Journal Entries in Logos when requested by entities.
- Assist in the process of quarterly review and consolidation of entities.
- Serve as a liaison between parishes/schools and the Finance Office
- Provide Logos support to all entities of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Requirement: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3 years� professional accounting experience within the last seven years.
- A candidate with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Management, Economics, Business Administration and 3 years� professional accounting experience within the last seven years may be considered.
