Eight were originally chosen to serve as auxiliary bishops in Miami, one as Apostolic Nuncio in the Vatican diplomatic corps, and two have been chosen immediately to lead a diocese: Bishop Robert Lynch (Diocese of Saint Petersburg) and Bishop Fernando Isern.
