Empowered by the Spirit of Christ, Catholic Campus Ministry strives to form a community of faith, which witnesses to the presence of the Risen Christ. We do this by building a sharing community of administration, faculty, staff, and students.
Catholic Campus Ministry promotes the well being of higher education and society as a whole. We also strive to provide an atmosphere of welcome, hospitality, and support for the entire university community; while at the same time, we specifically aim to help Roman Catholics grow in their faith life.
| We offer opportunities for:
Faith Sharing Gaining an understanding of our Christian faith and growing in our faith is one of our goals, as we gather together in friendship at the Eucharist and at Bible prayer groups, as well as through sacramental preparation |
Retreats Day or weekend long time for prayer and reflection, where we explore our vision and questions on life and on God's presence and work in our lives and in the world. |
Opportunities for growth We provide a variety of opportunities in Christian formation and ministry, leadership training workshops, music ministry, peer counseling, and parish ministries. |
Informative Gatherings Thought provoking gatherings where we analyze contemporary issues that challenge today's Catholics in higher education, and where we share our values and ideas on these topics of special interest. |
Service Community outreach to those facing struggle and need. We strive to creatively serve homeless, orphan, elderly, migrant farm workers, and are open to respond and expand our services as needs come to our attention |
Socials We provide the opportunity to meet people and develop friendships in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. These include: cookouts, picnics, holiday celebrations, parties, bowling, movies, ice-skating, field trips, and tours. |
